Believe it or not, I’ve gone through most of the beginner tutorials in the Photoshop learning set. I’m FAR from learning all I need to know though. But, below the beginner tutorials were some “Get Inspired” projects by digital artists, and so I thought it was time to make my first creative project using the skill set I have so far.
I decided to choose a funk theme. I used Adobe stock photos, one of the girl in the image, the guy in the image and the background. I had to do layer masks on the girl and guy and clean them up, then bring them and place and filter them into the background. The guy was the hardest, and I hope he doesn’t look too cheesy, lol. Getting the effect on him was difficult, as the girl with saturation looked stellar right off.
I’m pretty pleased with it overall. I wouldn’t call it digital art… well, maybe I’m being too hard on myself. But, I am inspired to keep creating and applying what I know in Photoshop to ideas that I have and get enthused about when seeing photos and art in Adobe and elsewhere.
Here it is. Ta Da! 🙂
